One visitor enters the underground rooms alone. Sharks, darkness, sound and spatial tasks organise a route developed by Alexander Giesche and Caroline Fries at Theater Bremen in 2013. The performative installation treats fear as a physical process: a racing heart, damp hands and the wish for control. The shark is dangerous; statistically, the water is more so. The space does not promise fearlessness. It can only be crossed one step at a time.
